Amanda Barrow was raised amid the cornfields of the Mid-West by an Episcopalian priest and social worker, in an environment conducive to creativity and abstract thinking. Ms Barrow has lived on the East Coast since 1982; however, in 1992 a Fulbright research grant provided an opportunity for her to live and work in India for thirteen months. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC, the New York and Boston Public Libraries, and the Museum of the Book, The Hague, The Netherlands. At present, she lives/works in Brooklyn, NY, Massachusetts, and Maine.
